Nice and lively square, it feels as the pulsating heart of Banska Bystrica. We visited in the summer and the restaurants had their terraces open and the place was bustling with people. The dominants are the clock tower with it's leaning tower vibe and the fountain the in the upper part of the square. It is spacious and as it's the main connection through the old town it seems to be always full of people.
Beautiful and very clean square with an impressive WWII monument. Surrounded by historic well-preserved buildings, decorated gardens and landmarks.
Nice place but all the menus are in slovak. The waiters can speak English so You can order but it is difficult to choose the right restaurant for your taste.
Very cozy city. Central square with many saved and carefully restored houses of 18-19 century.
Lovely place, city centre is in a good condition, you can feel the history there.
Definitely the most interesting and lively place in Banská Bystrica. Most of the museums are around here, majority of the good restaurants too. You should definitely check out the tower if nothing else! Too bad there isn't more to do here tho.
