Pleasant place to go for a walk with nice views of the city and Danube river. It is just couple of minutes far from the city center (around 10-15 depending on your physical condition). There are benches to sit and rest after going up the steep steps and baroque garden with fountain where you can enjoy views of the castle.

Visited this castle today. I recommend visiting on a sunny day for great outdoor pictures, but bring a hat and sunscreen! It took a while to reach the castle by walking, since we had to go up several stairs and walk around it before we finally found the gate. Entrance to the area around the castle is free, so you can see the garden and the exterior of the castle, as well as take pictures of the city and river view. The castle is beautiful and very classy inside. We really felt how luxurious the place must have been in the past. There are many exhibitions to see, including history, theater and jewelry-themed. Every floor has an exhibition, including the basement! There is a tower you can climb on for great pictures of the surrounding area. We spent almost 2 hours there but can stay more or less depending on how much you want to see and how quickly. This place is a must if you visit Bratislava. Friendly advice: descend from the same side/gate you used to get to the yard, because some gates and stairs are closed or locked on the less popular side.

Great, gorgeous landmark. I went inside as well but I found it a bit empty, even tho the architecture and decor are stunning. If you decide to go in make sure you go up the tower though. The stairs were a bit intimidating but I rewarded with fantastic views
A great castle worth visiting it. You have to climb the hill that would take 15-20 minutes but it's nothing compared to the stunning view that you will see. The garden too is fantastic. If you are on a sunny day it's the perfect time to enjoy the wonderful view at Danube river and the old city.
I'm glad it rained because it pushed me to get a ticket for the castle and I don't regret it one bit! 4 floors of rich history, a treasury, a French-inspired garden, and a lovely view of the Danube river and city. I definitely recommend.
You get a view of the whole city. Definitely one of the most popular tourist destinations. In summer, if you are around or passing by Bratislava, definitely worth a visit.
