Last visit was in January. Compared to summer, there were fewer animals to be seen, but also great atmosphere with snow covered roads and only few visitors around.

Super place for children. There is train that my daughter loves, mini melts - ice cream. The best food when you don't want to eat junk food is kebab in the beginning on the right side . And one thing about Dino grill I was really surprised that in Dino grill that have nothing grilled but everything fried.

We liked this zoo. It's not as big as other zoos and you won't find there any rare animals, but it's not less interesting. Animals didn't seem hungry or ill. We went there in winter and the dino park was closed. On the other hand there weren't lots of people. It has a nice and big monkey house

At first my recommendation is to do something with parking policy. Then - in end of July maybe 30% of cages were empty. On the other side the animals look good and healthy. Enough spaces for children activities, impressive Dino park. The quality of meals not on expected level, especially kebab meat. Clean and nice vegetation.

Quite a decent zoo. Lots of shade for the visitors. Animals can be seen from a close distance without disturbing them. The enclosures for the big cats, though, should be bigger. The zoo also has a Dino park, which is huge and really interesting and interactive.

Nice place even in a winter time open, but limited in food service, not open most of food spots. Cheaper price in winter time too. Highly recommend for visit at any time. English

Great place for young and old. Preferably young as there is a lot of walking mostly uphill. Entry fee in summertime is 7 for adults and 5 for children. There are couple of restaurants and plenty of drink and ice-cream kiosks. There is tiny sightseeing train for kids. Haven't tried it so I do not know the price for it. Roughly in the middle of the Zoo is Chimpanzee and Orangutan pavilion. It is amazing. On the top of the hill above it are mostly African animals. Once you will descend you will find Dino Park. Again amazing. Most of the Dinosaurs are moving and making sounds. And they are huge. There is another walk uphill where are wolves and buffaloes. On the very bottom of the Zoo are giraffes and zebras. Next to it is tiny hippo. Cute. We have spent there over five hours.

I love the Bratislava zoo, not just because you get too see well cared for animals but also because it such a nice and friendly atmosphere. I have been there three times since I have moved to Slovakia and it is so beautiful for walks and enjoyment. Some of the animals are not as well cared for as others. For example, the brown bear has a TINY cage and the wolf has a massive forest to live in. Looking at the small cages just makes me sad but if you go far enough away from the main gate you will find some massive enclosures with well kept animals.
