Very traditional, not fancy-shmancy but an honest working man poke that you can get only in Hawaii (and now in Bratislava). This is by far my favorite place in Bratislava thanks to its consistency of quality and uncompromising traditionalist character. The owner cares about the product and picks his fish everyday (and legend has it that he kills it by choking it to death himself too. ‘There is this twinkle in their eyes just before they pass on that tells me whether they’d like to end up in shoyu, oyster or want to be drowned in mayo. That’s the secret of my recipe’ the owner said allegedly).
