Had a 24hr stay at the Grand Hotel River Park in Slovakia. Repeatedly awarded as The Best Hotel in Slovakia, the Grand Hotel River Park is uniquely positioned in downtown Bratislava directly on the banks of the Danube River. It is a 35-minute drive from Vienna International Airport. The top floor is solely devoted to the 1,500 sq m ZION SPA LUXURY with fitness area and a stunning view of the panoramic surroundings. The sensation of spaciousness stretches from the vast chandelier-hung reception area and lobby to its rooms. A former member of the luxury hotel chain Kempinski, Grand Hotel River Park is now part of Marriott. But the riverside setting is special: so much so that the hotel has a promenade for guests to admire it all from. A heliport on the roof and its very own pier on the Danube, sure: but out-trumping either is the 11th floor swimming pool (with divine river views fringed by ancient woodlands) and the gorgeously decorated Zion Spa. All this just for 25,000 Marriott Rewards points a night , pretty impressive !

Wonderful taste of the rooms. It is definitely a 5 star experience with a spa and concierge and lobby bar. Some rooms overlook the Danube. Top class furnishings, including a bath tub. Welcoming staff. They allow (small) dogs but the only downside is the cost of a day for using the pool is 25 EUR.

Grand Luxury on the Riverfront This property comes with every bit of frills and aspects that are required to qualify to be part of the LUXURY COLLECTION chain. Right from the marble fittings in the rooms to the fine hospitality from the staff. A true jewel of the city’s limited hotel collection LOCATION: Stunning setting on the majestic DANUBE river and with easy access to the riverfront promenade via which it is a 15 minute walk to the old city center! DINE DRINK: Sweet Lobby level restaurant and a bar. The restaurant comes loaded with great views of the river ROOM: We stayed in 736, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular views of the sweet Danube river flowing next to the hotel ; SIZE: This was a HUGE suite room that came with so much face, it felt much bigger than our 1 bed room apartment back home!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower and also a super sexy Bathtub with million dollar views of the River. Do enjoy a long chillout here!; TOILETRIES: Excellent spa quality cosmetics from LE CHEMIN brand FACILITIES: Mind blowing Gym located on the rooftop with a full range of weights, machines and workout stations from TECHNOGYM which were quite state of the art! And the fact it came with killer views of the danube made the workout even more fun.One of the very few hotels in this part of the world, that has a INDOOR POOL (but you need to pay extra for it!) SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the front desk staff who accommodated our special requests with a smile HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

Everything you need is in this five star hotel. Nice straff, very spacious rooms eiven in the standard category, conference rooms for all kinds of events and meetings, nicely located spa with a big pool and huge fitness center for beeing a hotel on the top floor overlooking donau and Bratislava. Its worth that extra money.

There is a property with potential. But real experience specially staff , room service, restaurant and check-in looks like hotel opened just yesterday. Needs improvement to be a more than 4 star hotel.
