Pod is my favourite place to enjoy a drink outside. It has a sheltered area with a fire pit and gas heaters. The staff are helpful and friendly and as far as I can tell all speak English fluently. The food is local and seasonal so it's well worth checking out the specials. This place is a hidden gem right in the heart of the old town. We have had several celebrations there as the are happy to reserve tables. The beer is good, the local wine cheap and should be drank in large quantities.

Would definitely recommend! Small menu, good portions, affordable, local, fresh food, and prepared basically right in front of you if you eat at the beer garden. I had the sheep cheese and potatoes (7.50), and my husband had the trout with herb butter (8.50). The staff spoke English, and were attentive if we needed something. Both our plates were so delicious! If in Bratislava again, we would for sure come back!
I am glad we found this little gem hidden off the street in a small courtyard. The food is traditional Slovakian and fresh. We enjoyed the fresh catches of the day: carp and local trout. These were served with potatoes and a beautiful small salad. The carp was served with a dark beer reduction and was delicious.
The best fish in town? Yes, please! This summer outdoor terrace hidden right in the very centre is punk, authentic and soooo delicious! There are always only a few dishes written on the chalkboard of a simple shack where all the magic happens. But who cares? All of them are delicious AF. So come, have some local beer and taste fresh fish. And ask for LEBO (it's a shot)... ;-)
Very few dishes, but the quality is very good. Excellent beer. English speaking. No German. Cosy cellar with wooden tables and a little yard outdoors, partial shade.
This place is truly awesome! We visited both the outside cafe and the bar downstairs. The waiter was very nice and he even remembered our drinks when we came back in the evening. The bar downstairs was really cozy and we felt right at home. The other guests were mostly slovakian which was really cool and one guy recommended a very nice but strong shot to us. After the last call we were still able to get a "goodbye shot". Would definitely go there again!
