Visit this for one of the best views of the outskirts of Bratislava. The castle has historical importance, and it being on top of the hill gives you a panoramic view of the surrounding. It is situated very close to the Austrian border. You can see the delta and Danube from up above. Very good for children. Recommended to visit once you're in Bratislava!

Public accessible castle with nice lookout and surrounding area. This historical place is nearby merge of river Morava to majestic river Danube. Interesting part is that other shores of these rivers are foreign country - Austria, as only a half of rivers belongs to Slovakia. Border is actually defined by middle of the river. There are several options for a walks, having a coffee or even ride on horse. Recommended!

What a fantastic experience for people of all ages. ‘The Castle’ is a set of ruins, and are really beautiful to behold. The whole place is well maintained with stunning views and good pathways. The small museum at the top is very interesting. The castle won’t take more than an hour to tour. There are lovely little restaurants at the bottom of the hill - get yourself a bratwurst or schnitzel after! - and a lovely little river walk around the edge of the hill which takes you past the Velvet Revolution monument.

Very nice place with an amazing view! Make sure to visit while in Bratislava. Mind the working hours though.

when I think of a castle, this is what I think of. This is not a reconstructed castle that looks like a modern building. This is a full-on, medieval castle in its Glory. I visited in freezing January, so large parts of the castle were closed.I would have liked to see the upper Castle, but I did get my fill with what was open. tickets are very inexpensive, and the woman at the ticket booth spoke perfect English. Unfortunately I had not a lick of cash, but they do take credit cards.

Historic castle located about 14 km from the center of Bratislava. Very good location is where the Morava River flows into the Danube River. Interesting archaeological excavations and very well presented landmarks. I am fascinated!

One of the best places to visit around Bratislava. Great view of the Danube River on one side and other side the beautiful valley. Very well maintained and very reasonable entry fee of 2 Euros. You can walk all the way upto the top through steps. Also interesting is the story depicted regarding the demolition of iron wall between east and west. Highly recommended from my side of you are visiting Bratislava. Best time would be between June to October.
