It is the world's greatest shame that this Synagogue is no longer used for its original purpose. While recently restored and beautiful it has lost its soul and for the first time in my life I felt I was visiting a ghost. It must have been super in its heyday. Is now a museum and was showing an exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci machines. He was a clever chap. Venue was clean, toilets excellent, English speaking staff pleasant and helpful. But for reasons above I was unhappy and wanted to get away.
Nice place with history. It will take you about 15 or 20 minutes.
perfect place to go when you are visiting south Slovakia.
It is reconstructed building from 1925, inside it is empty, only few artefacts are inside. But you have nice lecture, sometimes there are exhibitions. It is worth visit.
Nice culture center in Lucenec. Always worth to visit.
Great example of modern transformation of the piece of Jewish temple into the cultural center. Electronic kiosk provide voice guide in English, Hungarian and Slovak language including text for deaf visitors.
