The Museum SNP is really great overall! The Museum SNP is divided into two parts, the open air fixed displays are a bit older and show their age however the payed interior main museum is new, clean and interactive. The Slovak peoples history fighting fascism throughout WWII is very important and should never be forgotten.

The outside area with armored vehicles from WW2 is worth seeing for anyone interested. Exposition is okay I guess, but style of it is old and boring take on the subject, some innovations would be great. Best part was texts in lower floor. Right now (summer 2020) there is also interactive exhibition, which was interesting, but short. I would like to see more of that.

The Slovak anti fascist resistance fight is a story that deserves to be better known abroad. This museum, albeit clearly conceived mainly for a domestic audience, goes a long way to remedy that. On display are genuine interesting objects, the story is well told, including context and how the different branches (some supported by London, some by Moscow) eventually managed to cooperate. The guilt of the Slovak fascist Hlinka Guard is also well explained. Only drawback is a lack of English explanations in some rooms, and a very limited bookstore.

Well organised, lots of things to see from weapons to uniforms, banners and medals to paphlets and brochures of WW II. Worth spending 1 or 2 hours.

I found this quite impressive for someone who doesn’t speak Slovak. A lot of things are English. Entree is 3 euro.

Lovely museum, covering all aspects of the Czech contribution in ww2, from the partisans to those who joined foreign legions such as the commonwealth army and red army. Great collection of items and display method, not to mention the stunning exterior design of the building and the statue next to the eternal flame.

Amazing brutalist building. But most of exhibition inside is old fashioned and boring.
