We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zerrenpach for 6 nights recently. Our room was well presented and the beds were comfortable. The food was exceptional, both at the upstairs dining room and at the downstairs restaurant/bar. Our family loved the ten pin bowling, playing it most evenings. The spa and sauna downstairs was just amazing. A special mention must go to the staff, who were most welcoming and friendly. They were always happy to help with any questions I had (in English) which I was grateful for. The warmth displayed by the owners, Jozef and Juraj was apparent from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to enjoy this beautiful part of Slovakia. It's perfect for biking and hiking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter.

Nice environment for sport enthusiasts, close to biathlon course . Hotel its self is lacking good service. Manager is rude, so are waitresses. Local restaurant is also poor. When I checked in, other leaving customer told me to leave the place, that it is horrible. After two days in that hotel, I can confirm that.

They made a big step renovating the place - the wellness was super nice - three saunas, cold pool, whirlpool, massage shower, tepidarium, Kneipp feet pools.. we relaxed so nicely.. The restaurant downstairs is also lovely redecorated and food was amazing. However, the breakfast was kind of awkward - it wasn't refilled afternoon 9am (we were obviously the last people eating and just finished the leftovers). The juices were of poor quality as well. Also the renovated rooms were quite poorly done - especially bathrooms. They felt kind of clean, yet it lacked quality. Overall, I have got the feeling they only redecorated, no major renovating was done here.. So, still need some work. Overall a decent experience, high praise go to stuff! They were so nice and helpful, simply great!!
We stayed at this Hotel for New Year for 3 nights. Hotel is nice and clean, no problems there. Food however lacked a lot. Being vegetarian and believe me not the picky one, i was more then disappointed! Not enough choice for breakfast whatsoever. If you came for breakfast an hour before the breakfast was over, all you could eat was bread and butter. To be honest it wasnt the best choice for meat eaters either! We had meat eaters with us too. Our New Years Eve dinner was disaster. The only good meal was soup! Main meal was Salad lettuce and one piece of fish!!!! Desert was ice cream (lactose free which waitress told me night before tastes horrible and is in their freezers since summer time)!!! All this cost us 80 euros each!!!! Service overall is also not that great. Customer service in Slovakia is lacking manners and politeness!!! There is no "customer is always right rule here"... Shame that, because Hotel was nice. So overall we wouldn't recommend this Hotel unfortunately. There is lots to be improved.
Great location, clean and stylish rooms, delicious food and really friendly staff. Absolutely recommend this hotel.
