It's a great railway station with services to Prague, Bratislava, Žilina and Košice to all of which you can take an InterCity train or just a regular fast train (rýchlik). A good tip is to know what number your train is for example the rýchlik 606 plus it will have a region name Liptov to (destination) Bratislava hl. Stanica plus it will say the platform number plus for some reason the track number which doesn't make sense to me as we don't have that in the UK. And you only need to know which platform as you can check the rest for yourself on the departures board. There are toilets and WiFi is only available on the fast trains i.e the IC or R. Look out for those 2 if you want a train with WiFi. The OS trains don't have WiFi and are usually only 2 cars long while the fastest train to Bratislava has 8. The first one being the drivers cabin the look the most old fashioned from the whole train. Then the 2nd car is on the fast trains a food car (jedálenský vozeň) there are announcements in English as well as Slovakian. The 3rd car is a car where you can leave your bikes and if you have arranged there are special huge doors as opposed to the small ones the you would usually enter through. For privacy I recommend getting the kids coach as they are private booths where only 6 people can sit as opposed the the open coaches where you have the other 60 passengers or so. The is also a car I think in the 3rd one in which there is a booth for six people bit there are 2 of them so it's just a bit less private than the children's booths. And the toilet is located right next to the bike storage.

Information is pretty easy to find thanks to the large digital information boards. Announcements for trains are also in English as well as Slovak, which also helps. There are a variety of shops to get snacks for your journey and the public toilets are also of a pretty good standard. Queues can be slightly long to get tickets sometimes depending on the time of day and whether it's during the tourist season. The station here in addition to offering trains to Bratislava, Kosice etc...... it also provides a service called the TEZ, which is an electric train taking you into the Tatra Mountains. Tickets for this are very inexpensive and well worth it with trains leaving at least once an hour.

It's a great train station and has great connections across the country to Košice and Bratislava and even International destinations like Prague. It has a few shops a couple of coffee machines, toilets that you pay 20 cents for, lifts and a kiosk for refreshments on the 1st floor next to the (T.E.Z)Tatranská Elektrická Železnica. There are taxis outside the station at least during the daytime and it's generally pretty cheap to get anywhere in town.
