Many old buildings saved in original form. Must see place around Ruzomberok. Great surroundings - not very high but quite steep mountains. Beware of swarms of people on weekends. I saw a restaurant there.

Super underrated. By looking at the pictures you would think that it ain't worth it. But it's actually very interesting. You have to go there. It's super cool and fun. But I don't recommend it to people who don't like the \countryside\ and walking (because it's always going up). I recommend it mostly for families with little children.

Great trip from Rozumberok, about one hour to the village. Along the way you are going to have many opportunities for great pictures and beautiful views. Village itself is very nice and peaceful, it's like a trip straight to the history. There is a restaurant and some bar, you can also try to book a stay in one of the historical buildings.

Amazing little village. We visited o Sunday when they had a celebration in the village. So we had to park the car in other village and little train an bus took us up to Vlkolinec. There were stalls with food and goods. The weather was great as well

Very nice village... A bit about it from wiki. Vlkolínec has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993, and is one of ten Slovak villages that have been given the status of a folk architecture reservations. This status was granted because the village is an untouched and complex example of folk countryside architecture of the region of the Northern Carpathians.

Lovely place where to go with kids and show them how people lived long time ago
