Cozy wooden shed that offers beer and good food.
Lovely mountain cottage with a history. The owner and manager Ladislav Kulanga is a legent in High Tatras. With his son they rebuild the cottage. They love theirs visitors, its different contact with mountain people, they are straight and open. When not ver busy they love to talk to people and listen to their stories. You coming there like to visiting a friend. Ladislav Kulanga is a records holder in carrying the load of food and drinks from the town bellow up to different mountain cottages .For example he carried 187kg load from Tatranska Lomnica to Skalnate pleso. One cant believe something like that. But believe me its true!
Good food but cannot enter with a dog and there is also grumpy guy.
An old man starred at us and smashed the door towards us from the kitchen. Supposedly it was the owner and made us leave very quickly. Sad.
Old mountain chalet, run by famous mountaineer Laco Kulanga. Soups, beer, sausage, excellent herbal tea, souvenirs. It's a must - go for people hiking around Skalnaté pleso.
Awful. Make sure not to step inside. We ordered 1 small beer and while old Laco Kulanga brewed the beer he mumbled vile comments about young people and arrogantly looked at us. Old poor evil man. We witnessed he refused to serve the foreign couple. I felt shaken after this experience, this place is a nightmare.
Horrible service. I guess the only thing the owner is interested is to squeeze as much money from the tourists as possible. A sad experience.
