Good for kids
It was a very lovely day. The sun was shining and the beautiful place was so much attracting everyone. I will highly suggest people to visit this. There is a man who sell souvenir somewhere near the car park. His price was good.

Is only really ruins but what impressive ones! It's one of the biggest complexes in Europe, so must be worth a visit :)
Castle was stunning and so huge. For those with mobility issues, you may want to skip this one. The parking lot is about a ten minute walk down a pretty steep and stony road that you have to walk up just to get to the castle. The upper castle (with most of the interesting stuff) was closed when we were there on May 9, would have loved to see it but the lower castle was impressive on its own right.
Fantastic historical monument. One of the issues I had was the fact that there was a guy with a souvenir shop who wanted to charge visitors just for a photo. 50 Euro-cents for a photo with a sword? How does management let this happen, especially in the area which requires paid admission. Milking tourists like myself is not on.
Awesome and huge historical castle. Guided tour takes about 45 minutes, but you'll need to have much more spare time to walk the whole castle. There is free parking, so don't use the one available in village of Spišské Podhradie.
Probably the best located castle/ruin in Slovakia....this place is beautiful and I highly recommend anyone who is travelling to Slovakia to visit this place. A scenic view journey and location is great.
They are remodeling it but it's not a hindrance to fully enjoy it. It's huge castle. All the time I was wondering about all the things that happened there. I was often taking pictures of the views around on the top. Theres a small museum inside and they sell food.
Stunning views from the castle of all the surrounding area. Also a nice interior museum with objects from the past
