Hands off from this rental. Unprofessional communication about obligatory fees. We wanted to add 2 additional drivers and before the car pick up we were told it costs 9 euros per rental.We were even saying out loud: wow, that s quite cheap. Even after that the agent didnt correct the price and only long time after the end of the rental, when I had to ask about the final invoice because returned deposit seemed to be low, we found out it was 9 euro per person per day, and not per rental as they claimed. Absolutely wrong information. We were not informed about any additional costs like registration fee, that is not mentioned anywhere in the price list, or extra costs of 15e in case you drop the keys off in the key box. The contract you sign when picking up the car should contain all these information as they are known by then. On the contract you only see the price you booked the car for. I never had such an intransparent way of communication when renting the car. You only find out the final price once you calculate how much they deducted from the deposit of 1200 euro (for a small car that s riddiculously high deposit), no invoice will be automatically send to you, unless you ask for it. Not mentioning that you cannot get fully covered, so you end up worrying the whole time if the car will be in a good enough conditions for them not to charge you additional money. NOT RECOMMENDING

I come to Bratislava regularly, about once a month. Each time I rent a car. The deposit is around 250. This time I rented from Avis because the other companies I usually take had no cars available at the dates I wanted. Avis Bratislava is by far the worst company I had to deal with. Avis asked for 800 deposit. When I took the car, it had many marked scratches (about 20 all over the car) When I returned the car Avis asked me to clean it myself! Avis claimed they found two new scratches which were hardly visible. At other companies they told me they don't look at scratches less than 2 cm. Avis made me wait almost two hours and made me pay 303 for these scratches. I strongly suggest you to never rent a car from Avis in Bratislava. I know I will never return there. If there was an option, I would give 0 stars instead of one.

Always the same procedure ! There are some “local” specialities they driving me simple crazy. First of all , they do not have your data in the system even though you are Avis Preferred so they are writing everything with the hand again. Secondly, they do not accept any additional protection so if you book via internet your coverage is 700 and there is no way to reduce it. And finally by returning they are very, very carefully checking the car as it would be a part of the business model having no protection and small damages to get additional money. So my recommendation if you need a car in SK go to Vienna airport about 40 km and perfectly connected. There you will get a car what you want. Probably more expensive but in total still Ok.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Totally unprofessional service and then are going to rip you off at the end! DO NOT, I REPEAT EVER ORDER CAR FROM HERE! I rented car early July 2018, they didn't even have a summer tires on the car! The service provided is absolutely ignorant and unprofessional. When I was collecting a vehicle, nobody even cared to come and show me where the car was. The car wasn't the cleanest. I still didn't get my deposit back of 1300EUR on my credit card and now 10 days after I returned the car, I got an email with accusations that I've damaged the car and they are going to charge me extra 300EUR for the damage, which is absolutely a fake accusations! When I returned vehicle, everything was perfect and person who collected the Vehicle didn't say a word! Worse experience ever! AVIS Should be ashamed to let \these people\ to run this sooooo poorly!!!!

I reserved a car from Avis \downtown\ for two days using rentalcars. It is around 45 minutes from city center. Me and my wife arrived here to see it closed. How can I know that today is national holiday for Slovakia. I received no warning from Avis and this ruined our day. We tried to call their airport office and it was closed as well. We are now trying to reach our destination by train and it costs us half of the day. This is the most unprofessional thing that ever happened to me. I don't recomend using this company. Imagine what they will do when you actually rent or return a car.
