A little over an hour before arriving at Bratislava, the vastness of the Vienna Hauptbahnhof leaves you stunned. Arriving Bratislava it clearly is an absolute contrast to Vienna. It does not look modernised and pretty crowded that appeared not to be able to cater to the volume of traffic. Language barrier will be another key issue that will definitely be felt
In comparison to other capital's stations it's a bit underwhelming, not a lot of shops or food option, but come on, let's be real, we're in Slovakia, it's the best we've got, probably. There are not so many homeless people in the waiting room anymore but I'd still be a bit scared if I had to wait there during the night
It's sad that this is the first thing people see when they come to Slovakia . Ugly, dirty, stinky. It's a shame.
Does its job. Could be nicer. Not the best first sight for foreigners.
Love this place. Great cafe upstairs. Could do with a face lift but the kind of throw back that does not exist in Central Europe but only in the Balkans (i.e Budapest)
There is no place to rest while waiting for the train. It's probably most shameful thing in the capital of Slovakia. Food around is below average. It's filled with homeless people. Only good thing about it it's location. But you know, it's a station. It has to have a good location. Just spent as much time in the city rather than a station.
Quite dirty but does the job
