Besides the language barrier, Mladá Garda was almost everything I could ask for an affordable student dorm for my 3 months of Erasmus! Met amazing people here, friends for life! I only bring great memories with me! Thank you Mladá Garda, thank you Slovakia!

Very good place for students in Bratislava. It is a dormitory for STU. There are lot of foreign students are living there. Just one minute walk to tram station. Room rent is nearly 80/90 depending on single/double room.

It is one of the most beautiful and complete Dormitories of Slovakia where you would find sports, love and education in the most bizarre and interesting fashion. I would love to stay here any time of my life whether I am a student or professional working for a company. Thanking you Bratislava for teaching and giving me so much.

Dormitory with good facilities for outdoor sports, there is football playground with artificial grass, running track and tennis court. During weekends there are usually football league games is place. You can have a beer or kofola in local small pub with terrace in summer.

First of all: this is NOT A HOSTEL, it's an old, communist style, overpriced students dormitory. They have literally nothing there besides beds and bathrooms. Forget about having a coffee in the morning, there is no kitchenware there. When we asked them for an electric kettle they have advised us to go an knock the door to any room, maybe someone will lend it to us. Oh and the funny thing: no one on reception speaks English. The only words they know in English are : yes, cash and key. The place is 6 stops away from the downtown, no good places to eat around, unless you are fine with having a breakfast at McDonald's every morning. If you would like to have a good time in Bratislava, do yourself a favor, book a better place in the downtown. I don't think I will ever come back to this city, but if I do, I will stay away from this hole called a hostel.

I've objectively thought thoroughly what case or scenario this university dorm posing as hostel would be fitting for. Considering the limited (yet Euro-overpriced) options in everything Bratislava has, the fact that it's far and in the outskirts of town, the commodities are Communist-standard, and the city itself is depressing alone, I would only RELUCTANTLY recommend this place if you REALLY in a matter of life or death need to be in Bratislava and everything else in the city is literally booked. Otherwise, I would skip the city entirely.
