Excellent hotel and restaurant in Skalica. The accommodations are very nice. The hotel is well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff speaks English. Hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance from the town center. I would definitely recommend this location and look forward to staying there again in the future.

This is a 4-star hotel that performs at 2 stars until you see the bill and it loses another star. Spent a few days here a week or so ago. I found the staff quite friendly and that was the highlight. The facility is not well designed. Initially stayed in a room without a shower, and after a night of that transferred to a room with a shower. This did not have a place to put my toiletries bag. Housekeeping was not effective. Tina of hair in the drain caused flooding on the floor. Mirrors did not get cleaned. No pool. Sauna, which is half finished is an extra fee we found out at checkout - 10!! Small dog fee is something like 16/day. This was also very expensive and unexpected. Decor is strange. Instead of paintings, there was photo after photo of some terse looking woman posing with has-been local celebrities who apparently made the same mistake I made in staying at the hotel. Rose garden was locked and unavailable. No English TV. Billiards room was in the basement so I didn’t bother. We arrived during a wedding reception which took place in the lobby. Hotel scheduled a wine tasting which was poorly handled and left guests with far too little wine. The sommelier was completely nervous and inexperienced in customer service. Breakfast was dreadful. Terrible coffee and the spread was not regularly replenished. As an international customer, I didn’t care for the fare, so I ordered and ham and cheese omelet which they were happy to provide thankfully but it was so over cooked I actually couldn’t eat it. So yes, the hotel staff needs a ton of training - from an international professional, please. These were the highlights, but hey, try it yourself, maybe it’s for you!!
This hotel is "holding" 4 stars but it should be in 3star category. I haven't seen 4star hotel which wouldn't give you shower gel , conditioner, body lotion as normal default bathroom equipment. This one has only one push hand soap on the wall of bathroom, nailed so you can't possibly steal it. That is really lame. Staff is very frustrated and speaks bad English. During winter they offer continental breakfast but because of lack of guests they just don't provide it. Instead they offer you some limited variety of breakfast stuff. As for property look it looks nice. As for services .... Better to get something more convenient.
Simply amazing, everything is at highest standards, especially the two ladies at reception are very kind and very helpful.
Dirty rooms, poor breakfast, little to none information about facilities, charged for 1h spa usage without being informed upfront. 4 stars? Definitely not. More like 2 at most. Shame because the hotel looks cool and it's in a nice location.
We only visited the restaurant and the rose garden but it was great. Delicious food :)
