The place is nice, you can sit inside or outside, the coffee was good and the cakes were nice. The service was ok. The price wasn't cheap, but not too expensive.

Retro style, very \tourists\ oriented. I believe, it's not typical Slovak coffee. Stuff should take a \smile\ pil. Bad expirience with the toilet, don't use it.

Mr. Mayer opened this cafe in 1873. The atmosphere here has not changed much since then. It was also and now is one of the icons of Bratislava city and many cannot imagine a Sunday afternoon without a visit to Mayer. Great coffe and delicious fresh baked viennese style cakes. We have enjoyed our time spent there. Visiting this café is a must do on your list.
I was traveling solo and I didn't know much about Slovak food, one fine Morning I was struggling with where to go for Coffee and bunch of my hostel mates took Me to this place Cafe Mayer and ordered this very famous Caramel Cheese Cake on my behalf for Me only and I couldn't thank them enough for doing so it was yummmmmiiiiii That taste is still there in my mind. Heaven!!! You should not miss out on this guys.
The toilet of this cafe is terrible! Cakes are fine, prices average. We ordered beer, it came warm. So order only from tea types.
