We enjoyed our trip with Michal Hornacek from Trip In Slovakia . Our trip took us to the Red Stone Castle including Wine History of Small Carpathian Region. We were in Bratislava and wanted to see the surrounding region. The Tourist Information Centre were excellent. They contacted Michal and it was no problem for him to take us on a day tour out of Bratislava. The Stone Castle was amazing and we enjoyed wine tasting in Modra. I highly recommend you stay longer in Slovakia and take a tour. Michal is a highly experienced guide full of wonderful information and a great knowledge of history. Peter our driver was excellent. HOMELESS BABOON

Our day trip to Banska Stiavnica was a very memorable one. Our guide Michal is a very interesting and informative fellow. We left Bratislava at 11am and returned around 11pm. It was a full day of learning about this charming town amidst a volcanic crater with history steeped in mining. We had a guided tour of the town and also taken off the beaten path and shown places we would not have found on our own, tried the local beer in a "templar" pub and coffee in a tea house that reminded us of a place in Egypt, amazed by the evidence of the old mining industry present in these every day places - a sight not to be missed! We also had free time to ourselves, which was very nice, we were not rushed, we had plenty of time to meander around the area on our own. Michal our guide gave us different ideas of what we could do. A lovely walk up to a lake with views of the town & old castle on the path down. All possible in sandals/runners. We ate a lovely Slovak meal at a good price. At the end of the trip we visited "The Calvary" at Scharfenberg Hill. The ascent to the Upper Church is rewarded by a wonderful view of Banska Stiavnica and its surroundings. A beautiful ending for our trip! this is a trip definitely not to be missed while in Bratislava! A good priced tour for a full day of adventure. Bring your camera, water, sun cream and comfortable walking shoes. Thank you Michal for a great day filled with happy memories to take home with us to Ireland!!!
