I've been a member of metro for over 20 years. Zvolen branch is ok but the gastro packaging items often out of stock and they don't get them for months. Its a real pain if you use them in your business. Also I am finding supermarkets are a lot cheaper with some items, they are getting very expensive.

Very good wine selection from whole Slovakia. There could be more special cut steaks in the meat department. Otherwise a good assortments.

Entry: No public entry, you must be holding Metro / Makro card to enter. Czech / UK cards worked to gain entry, or you must have a local Slovak Metro Card. Prices: Not everything is cheap, when looking at prices, do keep in mind that price printed in bold is without VAT, so pay attention to small prices (s DPH) to know what you will end up paying at counter. Also check if price is for per pack or per item in the pack, for example a pack of three tupperware boxes may be written 1.50 (but may be 4.50 for the pack of three) so must need to pay attention to little things to avoid shock @ payment desk. Do keep in mind that you may find cheaper deal for many things in Tesco / Pepco. Choice: Decent Choice, but not all brands available, I have found many things not available or at time available other times not. But still loads of brands & alternates available if you can't find brand of your choice. However do keep in mind pricing may not be cheapest. Staff: Co-operative and helpful.
There is nearly everything you are looking for. Wide warieties of food but also cosmetics, beverages, household things. Imo it is not suitable for quick shopping cause of the great size of this mart.
Used my UK Makro card (part of same group) great prices, great staff.
